Today was mostly a travel day. We took off on a JetBlue flight to Boston at 10:30 am. We had a quick layover in Boston, then a short flight to LaGuardia, which allowed us to get to the hotel at 5:30 pm. We relaxed a little bit at the hotel, before getting some NY pizza & pasta at Patsy’s Pizzeria on 60th St on the Upper East Side, which was just a few blocks from the hotel. We then braved the NY subway and took the express train to One World Trade Center. The two pools where the buildings were located are beautiful and heart-breaking. I’m glad we went at night to see them because they were all lit up and not very crowded. The Subway Transit Center is a really distinct building that looks like the ribs of a giant dinosaur.
Time to get some rest so we can wake up fresh and explore what NY has tomorrow.
We got to the airport with plenty of time to enjoy the playground in Terminal 2 Lily waiting for our plane with Starbucks Melanie video chatting with her friends before takeoff Cutie Charlie on the plane Yummy pizza and pasta at Patsy’s pizzeria Charles liked spinning in circles around the pole in the subway One World Trade Center The North Pool- the 9/11 memorial volunteers put white roses on people’s names the day of their birthday. It is a beautiful memorial. Subway transit center and mall at One World Trade Center
